Parkside Guest House

Planning Your Stay

Anchorage is a city surrounded by Cook Inlet to the west and the snow-capped Chugach Mountains to the east. This small-scale metropolis is the heartbeat of the state. A city of just 300,000 residents, it is home to museums, shopping, a coastal walking and biking trail, and much wildlife.  We invite you to our Anchorage home during your time exploring this vibrant city and look forward to sharing with you the sights, culture, dining, and activities around town.

Getting to Anchorage

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is the main airport hub of Alaska. Located just a short cab ride from our Guest House, this airport is a great option to arrive/depart from Alaska, as well as for travel to and from more remote parts of the state.

The Alaska Railroad trains depart daily from Anchorage, heading south towards Seward and the Kenai Peninsula as well as north to Talkeetna, Denali National Park & Preserve, and Fairbanks. These scenic rides are a highlight during an Alaskan adventure and are a great way to travel between your destinations.

The Park Connection offers daily coach service from Anchorage to Denali National Park & Preserve. This is a recommended option if you will be joining us at Camp Denali, as their buses arrive in time to connect with our transportation into the Park on the first day of your stay.
